14865553_s Anti-Aging Treatments One of the top fears of most people is getting old. Aging and a changing appearances is something that no one wants to experience. Although it is impossible to completely avoid aging, there are some steps you can take to help fight it. Sculptra and Juvederm Voluma XC are two common anti-aging treatments on the market today. Both processes are designed to help correct volume loss of the cheeks and make your face appear more full.  Although the products are similar in providing a youthful appearance, there are some differences. Voluma & Sculptra – How Do They Work? Both Voluma and Sculptra are performed on the patient via injection. For Voluma, the patient will only require a single injection in most cases. Voluma is used to replace and restore the volume in your face. For Sculptra, you will likely need 2-3 treatments in order to fully get the effects. The injections are designed to help stimulate the body’s collagen and enhance volume in the face. In regards to differences, Voluma is typically the better choice to help accentuate the cheeks. Sculptra is used primarily for filling the area in using a more broad approach. The results form Voluma will generally last around two years, while Sculptra results may last significantly longer than this. Sculptra will usually lead to results over the course of several weeks. There is little to no recovery period with these treatments. Though there is a 24 hour wait period with Voluma before returning to normal activities. What May Be Best For You Which option is best for you will depend on a few different factors and personal preferences. Voluma is still relatively new, which may be a concern for some patients. While Sculptra has been around as a treatment for a longer time period, it does typically require multiple treatments, which can be a major downside for many patients. Result can differ between the two as well, particularly when determining the length of time before additional injections may be needed.
